COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 12/11 Ohio State women's basketball team (9-1, 1-0 B1G) hosts No. 2/2 UCLA (9-0) on Monday evening for a 6:30 p.m. ET tip. The game will be broadcast on FS1 and 1460AM. Fans are asked to wear white.
- Ohio State holds a 9-1 overall record and is 1-0 in Big Ten play entering Monday's game after a 73-49 win against Grand Valley State on Friday evening on the Buckeyes' home court.
- The Buckeye defense had its strongest showing of the season with a season-high 22 steals and a season-high 32 forced turnovers.
- Jacy Sheldon (15) and Taylor Thierry (11) both scored in double figures to lead the OSU offense. Madison Greene scored her first points since returning back from injury, finishing with six points.
- Thierry and Cotie McMahon both surpassed 700 career points in Friday's win against GVSU.
- No. 2/2 UCLA enters the game with a perfect 9-0 record this season.
- The Bruins hold wins over Purdue, UC Riverside, Bellarmine, Princeton, then No. 6 UConn, Niagara, Arkansas, CSUN and most recently then No. 20 Florida State on Dec. 10. Arkansas is the only true road game UCLA has played thus far.
- UCLA boasts a high-powered offense averaging 92.7 ppg with six players averaging double figures. Lauren Betts leads the Bruins' offense with 17.0 ppg. Betts also leads the UCLA rebounding efforts with 9.2 rpg on a squad that averages 48.9 rpg. She's shooting at a 77.4 percent clip this season and averages 23.4 minutes/game.
- Ohio State leads 5-3 in the all-time series against UCLA with the most recent meeting happening on Dec. 21, 2004. OSU won that game on the road by an 83-60 margin.
- The Buckeyes are 3-0 when facing the Bruins in Columbus. The last time these two teams played in Columbus was on Dec. 21, 2000 when Ohio State earned the 79-57 win.
