COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State is making its 17th NCAA Tournament appearance and will open the tournament on Saturday at No. 11 Pitt. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

- This will be the fourth all-time meeting between Ohio State and Pitt and the first in the postseason. The Buckeyes lead the series 3-1. The most recent meeting was a 2-0 Buckeye victory in 2013. They also won 2-0 in 2010 in the lone meeting in Pittsburgh. Tiffany Cameron and Liz Sullivan registered the two goals in that victory.
- Last year in the NCAA Tournament, the Buckeyes got a goal in the 107th minute from Emma Sears to beat Bucknell in the opening round in Columbus. They then went on the road to play Arkansas and would fall 5-2. Peyton McNamara scored both of the Buckeye goals.
- Interestingly, with a win over Pitt, Ohio State would likely be headed back down to Arkansas for the second round.
- The Buckeyes are 14-15-2 all-time in the NCAA Tournament with their best run coming in 2010 when they reached the College Cup in Cary.
- Ohio State is coming off a 3-2 setback at No. 19 Nebraska on Oct. 29 in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament. Freshmen Amanda Schlueter and Ava Bramblett were the goal scorers.
- The Buckeyes are 9-7-2 overall and finished tied for sixth in the Big Ten with a record of 5-4-1.
- A Big Ten record nine teams earned a spot in this year's NCAA Tournament.
- Pitt is ranked 11th in the nation with a 14-5-1 overall mark. The Panthers won the most ACC games in program history with six this year and will be making their second NCAA Tournament appearance. The first was last season when they advanced to the round of 16 with wins over Buffalo and Georgetown.
- Kailyn Dudukovich has the ninth-most points in a season in program history with 27 points on 11 goals and five assists. She earned second team All-Big Ten honors this year.
- Freshman Amanda Schlueter scored in the Big Ten Tournament game at Nebraska and is second on the team with six goals and has a team-high seven assists.
