COLUMBUS, Ohio – The homestand continues for the No. 1 Ohio State women's hockey team as the Buckeyes jump back into conference play this weekend against No. 10 St. Cloud State. The top-10 matchup between the Buckeyes (13-1-0, 10-0-0 WCHA) and Huskies (11-4-0, 6-3-0 WCHA) is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 at the OSU Ice Rink.Â

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- The Buckeyes swept St. Lawrence last weekend in the team's final regular season non-conference matchup. Ohio State scored a program-record 11 goals in game one and finished the series with a 5-1 win over the Saints for the team's 13th consecutive win.
- This weekend marks the third straight top-10 opponent for the Buckeyes and fifth this season. Ohio State is 9-1-0 against ranked teams this year and has won nine consecutive games after dropping the season opener at Colgate, who was ranked fourth, 2-3.
- Earning WCHA weekly honors this week were Jocelyn Amos and Hadley Hartmetz. Amos, who picked up her second Rookie of the Week award of the season, tallied a team-high three goals and shared the team lead with four points against the Saints. One of her goals was the first shorthanded goal of her career. Hartmetz, who also picked up her second WCHA weekly award, led the Buckeyes with four assists and a +7 on ice last weekend. She helped the Ohio State blue line hold the Saints to just 24 shots on goal the entire series.
- Jennifer Gardiner will make her Hockey Canada Senior Women's National Team debut in the December Rivalry Series games. The Surrey, B.C. native joins former teammates Sophie Jaques and Emma Maltais for the upcoming games that will be played in Canada.
- Raygan Kirk is one of three undefeated goaltenders in the country. She leads the group with seven games played. The Ste. Anne, Manitoba native also ranks top-10 nationally in goals against average (1.188). She has posted three shutouts this year, including clean sheets against Wisconsin and St. Lawrence.
- Gardiner continues to lead the team with 20 points on the year. She has scored a team-best nine goals and is second on the squad with 11 assists. Her team and career-best point streak has been extended to 10 games, after scoring a goal in both games against St. Lawrence.Â
- Ohio State ranks among the top five programs nationally in assists (3rd - 115), goals (3rd - 70), scoring margin (2nd - 3.50), scoring offense (2nd - 5.00), and team points (3rd - 185). The team has won the second most games in the country (13).
- The Buckeyes are at the top of the national polls this week and were picked first unanimously by voters in both the USCHO.com and USA Hockey/The Rink Live polls.
- The team is 6-0-0 on home ice this year and has won its last 16 home games.
- Ohio State is 55-39-11 against St. Cloud State in the all-time series.
- In the last meeting between the teams, the Buckeyes swept the Huskies in St. Cloud, Minn. The team won game one, 6-2, and took game two in overtime, 3-2.
- The Buckeyes are unbeaten in the last 15 matchups against the Huskies.
- Ohio State associate head coach Peter Elander coached with St. Cloud head coach Brian Idalski under the same title at North Dakota before Elander came to Ohio State in 2017.
