Buckeyes Host Cornell Sunday for Friendsgiving

Ohio State is holding a donation drive for Final Third Foundation and will be collecting feminine products at the Northwest and Northeast entrances.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 15/12 Ohio State women's basketball team (4-1) returns home to host Cornell (2-3) on Sunday afternoon for a 1 p.m. tip. The game will be broadcast on B1G+ and AM 1460.
On Sunday, the Ohio State women's basketball program will be holding a donation drive for Final Third Foundation. Volunteers will be collecting feminine products (unopened pads, newly purchased underwear) at the Northwest and Northeast entrances. All donations will be given to the Final Third Foundation on its trip to the Child of Mercy Orphanage Centre in Kenya. For more information, visit HERE.

- Ohio State owns a 4-1 record this season after a 75-57 win against Oklahoma State on Wednesday in which the Buckeyes led from start to finish and forced OKST to shoot just 12.5 percent from long range.
- Taylor Thierry earned the Buckeyes' first double-double of the season with 16 points and a career-high 14 rebounds. Jacy Sheldon (22) and Cotie McMahon (14) also scored in double figures as OSU combined for a season-high 47 rebounds.
- Sheldon and reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Year McMahon were both named to the Big Ten's Preseason Team as the Buckeyes were picked to finish second by the coaches and third by the media. Sheldon, McMahon and transfer Celeste Taylor all earned preseason honors outside of the Big Ten, including individual position award watch lists and the watch lists for the Naismith Trophy and Wooden Award.
- Cornell holds a 2-3 record this season after a 57-45 loss to Albany on Wednesday in the home opener.
- Big Red started its season on the road for four games, winning at Southern Illinois and Mount St. Mary's and losing to Colgate and Western Kentucky.
- Kaya Ingram leads the Cornell offense with 13.2 points per game, while Summer Parker-Hall (5.2 rpg) and Emily Pape (5.0 rpg) lead the team on the boards.
- Ohio State and Cornell have met only once previously, that being on Nov. 25, 2006. The Buckeyes earned the 77-43 win in Columbus in the Buckeye Classic.
