COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 13/10 Ohio State women's basketball team (2-1) heads to Nassau, Bahamas for the Pink Flamingo Championship this week. The Buckeyes will face East Carolina (2-1) on Monday at 1:30 p.m. ET and Oklahoma State (2-1) on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. ET. Both games will be broadcast on FloHoops and AM 1460.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 13/10 Ohio State women's basketball team (2-1) heads to Nassau, Bahamas for the Pink Flamingo Championship this week. The Buckeyes will face East Carolina (2-1) on Monday at 1:30 p.m. ET and Oklahoma State (2-1) on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. ET. Both games will be broadcast on FloHoops and AM 1460.
- Ohio State owns a 2-1 record this season after back-to-back dominating home wins last week. The Buckeyes are coming off an 88-66 victory against Boston College on Thursday after shooting 71 percent in the first half to build a 55-26 halftime lead. OSU once again tallied 10+ steals and forced 20+ turnovers.
- Cotie McMahon (24), Taylor Thierry (18) and Jacy Sheldon (16) led the Buckeyes' offense, shooting a collective 22-of-29 (.759) as a trio, while Emma Shumate's 10 points was a career-high.
- Sheldon and reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Year McMahon were both named to the Big Ten's Preseason Team as the Buckeyes were picked to finish second by the coaches and third by the media. Sheldon, McMahon and transfer Celeste Taylor all earned preseason honors outside of the Big Ten, including individual position award watch lists and the watch lists for the Naismith Trophy and Wooden Award.
- East Carolina also holds a 2-1 record this season. The Pirates beat Elon 68-37 on the road in the season opener before hitting the century mark in a 105-35 blowout against USC Upstate. ECU's only loss of the season was on the road on Tuesday, 50-55, at VCU.
- Danae McNeal was picked as the AAC's Preseason Player of the Year and was joined by Amiya Joyner on the Preseason All-AAC First Team. ECU was picked to finish second in the league after winning the AAC Tournament last season.
- McNeal (19.0 ppg) and Joyner (14.0 ppg) lead the ECU offense through three games this season, while Joyner also leads on the boards (8.7 rpg).
- Ohio State and East Carolina have only played one time previously, that being on Dec. 30, 1978 when ECU earned a narrow 81-80 win on its home court.
- Oklahoma State enters the week with a 2-1 record as well. The Cowgirls opened the season with home wins against SIUE (100-59) and New Orleans (74-66) before suffering their first loss on the road against a ranked Colorado squad (75-86). Oklahoma State is scheduled to face Penn State on Monday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
- Lior Garzon was named Preseason All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and Oklahoma State was picked to finish seventh in the conference this season after an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2022-23. Garzon was also named to the Cheryl Miller Award Watch List.
- Oklahoma State features a trio of double-figure scorers in Anna Gret Asi (19.0 ppg), Stailee Heard (16.7 ppg) and Garzon (12.7 ppg). Heard also leads the team on the boards (6.0 rpg).
