COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 24 Ohio State women's volleyball team (5-8, 2-2 B1G) travels to Rutgers (8-6, 0-4 B1G) and No. 14 Penn State (10-3, 4-0 B1G) this weekend. The Buckeyes play at Rutgers on Friday at 7 p.m. in a match broadcast on B1G+. OSU's Saturday match at Penn State will be broadcast on BTN at 6:30 p.m.

Ohio State enters the match with a 5-8 record this season and a 2-2 record in Big Ten play after sweeping Maryland (25-23, 25-22, 25-12) on Sunday afternoon at the Covelli Center on alumnae day. The Buckeyes posted a season-best 15 blocks, forcing their opponent to hit in the red during the match (-.098) for the first time this season.
Senior Emily Londot continues to lead Ohio State's offense as she leads the conference in kills/set (4.68) and is third in points/set (5.12), ranking in the top-15 in the country in both categories as of Tuesday. Freshman Mia Tuman ranks fifth in the Big Ten in assists/set (9.40).
Freshman Kaitlyn Hoffman has excelled after stepping into the libero role and is now averaging 3.22 digs/set, while freshman Eloise Brandewie leads the Buckeye block with 37 total (0.79 blocks/set) after a career-best seven blocks on Sunday vs. Maryland.
Rutgers holds an 8-6 record overall and is 0-4 in Big Ten matches, being swept by then No. 15 Penn State and No. 19 Purdue during B1G opening weekend. The Scarlet Knights also lost in four sets to Maryland and Michigan State.
Rutgers opened the season with three wins and strung together a five-match winning streak during the non-conference slate.

Jess Mruzik leads PSU and ranks third in the B1G with 4.53 kills/set, while Mac Podraza is second in the Big Ten with 10.32 assists/set. Allie Holland and Taylor Trammell lead the Penn State block averaging 1.33 and 1.18 blocks/set. Gillian Grimes has a team-best 3.27 digs/set.
Penn State leads 51-21 in the all-time series against Ohio State. The Buckeyes are 7-28 when facing the Nittany Lions in University Park.
The Buckeyes earned a pair of five-set wins last season, winning at home (25-17, 25-15, 25-27, 22-25, 15-11) on Oct. 7 and on the road (19-25, 27-25, 26-28, 25-14, 17-15) on Oct. 29.
Penn State's most recent series victory was on Sept. 26, 2021 in University Park in three sets (19-25, 25-27, 21-25).
