COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (8-12, 5-6 B1G) travels to Michigan (3-16, 1-9 B1G) for the teams' lone meeting of the season on Sunday at 2 p.m. The match will be broadcast on FOX and FS2. Â
- Ohio State enters the match with a 8-12 record this season and a 5-6 record in Big Ten play after its best offensive performance in a sweep of Northwestern (25-13, 25-12, 25-13) on Wednesday as the Buckeyes hit a season-best .500 as a team.
- Senior Emily Londot continues to lead Ohio State's offense as she's the Big Ten leader in kills/set (4.80) and points/set (5.22). She's among the top-13 in the country in both categories as of Monday.
- Fellow senior Rylee Rader has increased her production to 2.64 kills/set through the past seven matches and leads the team this season in hitting percentage (.372 - sixth in the B1G) and is tied for the team-high in aces (19) with Lauren Murphy who ranks 10th in the conference (0.33/set).
- Freshman Mia Tuman ranks fifth in the Big Ten in assists/set (9.32) and broke into the top-20 in program history on 10/21, now ranking 18th with 634 assists.
- Freshman Kaitlyn Hoffman leads the Buckeyes' back row (averaging 3.37 digs/set). Freshman Eloise Brandewie leads the Buckeye block with 73 total (0.97 blocks/set) after a career-best seven blocks four times this month (10/1, 10/6, 10/7, 10/21).Â
- Michigan enters the weekend with a 3-16 overall record and is 1-9 in Big Ten play in the first season under a new coaching staff. The Wolverines are scheduled to host No. 13 Penn State on Friday at 7 p.m.
- The Wolverines beat Northwestern in four sets on Oct. 6 and also hold wins against North Carolina and Sacred Heart this season. Michigan have faced six ranked opponents this season heading into the Sunday matinee.
- Michigan has three players in the Big Ten top-10 rankings for service aces and has three players averaging more than two kills/set each. At the setting position, Scottee Johnson (7.00 ast/set) and Morgan Burke (5.78 ast/set) are sharing time. Hannah Grant leads a back-row defense (3.17 digs/set) which has five players averaging at least two digs/set.
- Ohio State leads 56-27 in the all-time series against Michigan and holds an 18-15 advantage when facing the Wolverines in Ann Arbor. The Buckeyes have won the previous six meetings heading into Sunday's contest.
- Last season, the Buckeyes won both meetings against the Wolverines - earning a four-set road win (25-22, 25-18, 17-25, 25-21) on Sept. 28 and a sweep at home (25-17, 25-21, 25-23) on Oct. 28.
