COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State (3-6-5, 1-4-1) travels for the final time in regular-season play to take on No. 20 and undefeated Michigan State (7-0-6, 3-0-4) Tuesday in East Lansing, Michigan. The match is set to start at 6 p.m. with The Big Ten Network broadcasting to a national audience.

Eight Buckeye men's soccer careers are coming to a close in the coming weeks with the final home contest less than a week away. Keeper Peter Van Euwen, forward Reed Davis, defenders Owen Sullivan, Deylen Vellios, Sean Ryan and Connor DesRoches along with midfielders Brayden Durbin and Laurence Wootton all will be recognized prior to the Maryland match Sunday in Columbus (12:30 p.m.)
Wootton leads the Buckeyes with four goals and eight points. He has a pair of game-winning scores on a team-leading 31 shots on the year.
After battling to scoreless draws against Michigan and Xavier, Ohio State has shutout four of the last eight opponents and five of the last 10.
Buckeye keepers combined to hold opponents scoreless over 304 minutes before Louisville scored in the 18' (2-2, 10/10).
Ohio State earned its first Big Ten win of the season with a 2-0 road win at Rutgers (9/29). Wootton scored on a first-half penalty kick before Marko Borkovic added an insurance goal in the second half in the shutout.
The last time Ohio State recorded a shutout on the road in Big Ten play was during the 2021 spring season at Michigan State (2-0) March 3, 2021. The Buckeyes also blanked Maryland 1-0 just prior to the MSU win Feb. 27. Those matches were contested in the spring because of the COVID pandemic in 2020.
The last time the Buckeyes recorded three-consecutive shutouts was a season ago when after a 1-all tie against South Carolina in the season opener, Ohio State held Cal Poly (3-0), Bowling Green (away, 1-0), Wright State (2-0) and Butler (2-0) without a score.
