COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey team heads back to Minnesota this weekend to play St. Thomas Oct. 20-21 in Mendota Heights. The Buckeyes (3-1-0, 2-0-0 WCHA) and Tommies (4-2-0, 0-2-0 WCHA) will meet in the St. Thomas Ice Arena at 4 p.m. ET Friday at 3 p.m. ET Saturday.
Both games will be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required). Saturday's game will also be carried on FOX9+ in Minnesota. The series marks the final trip in Ohio State's six-game road stretch to open the 2023-24 season.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- Ohio State opened the 2023-24 conference schedule last weekend at Minnesota Duluth with a pair of wins.
- Hadley Hartmetz earned WCHA Defender of the Week honors and Raygan Kirk earned her second consecutive Goaltender of the Week award. Hartmetz scored a hattrick in the first game of the series at Minnesota Duluth, recording the Buckeyes first multi-goal game of the year. Kirk posted a 16-save shutout in game two against the Bulldogs to deliver the team's first shutout of Minnesota Duluth since 2021. The duo helped the Buckeyes finish 9-for-9 on the penalty kill and sweep the Bulldogs in Duluth for the first time in 10 years.
- Hannah Bilka leads the Buckeyes with five points on the year. She's tallied a team-high three assists and added two goals.
- Cayla Barnes leads the team with eight blocked shots this season. Ohio State averages less than 22 shots on goal allowed per game.
- Ohio State ranks fourth in the country on the power play through four games. The team has tallied four power play goals on the year for a .364 percentage.
- With two conference wins to start the season, the Buckeyes are tied for first in the league with Minnesota and Wisconsin.
- Fourteen of 20 skaters for Ohio State have recorded at least one point on the year. Eight have tallied multiple points.
- Ohio State holds at No. 2 in both the USCHO.com and USA Hockey/The Rink Live polls. Since the first poll of 2020, the Buckeyes have been ranked in the top-five for all but one week. For the last 36 weeks a poll has been published, Ohio State has been voted one of the top-two teams in the country.
- Ohio State is 271-295-63 all-time in WCHA play. The league is also celebrating its 25th season. Last year, the Buckeyes won a program-record 23 league games and earned the WCHA regular season title for the first time in program history.
- Ohio State and St. Thomas first met in 2021 when the Tommies joined the WCHA. St. Thomas' first Division I game was against the Buckeyes on Sept. 24, 2021 in Columbus.
- The Buckeyes hold a 8-0-0 record against St. Thomas all-time.
