
Buckeyes Post Second Consecutive Round of 300

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Ohio State posted its second consecutive round of 300 at the NCAA Championship and is in a tie for 24th heading into Sunday’s third round. The Top 15 teams after the round on Sunday will advance to the final round on Monday.
Grayhawk Golf Club has played difficult through the first two rounds, as any championship course should. The course both starts and finishes tough as hole one is the second toughest hole and hole 18 has played as the toughest hole through two rounds. The average score has been around 74.5 each day.
Sophomore Adam Wallin led the Buckeyes on Saturday with a solid round of 73. He is tied for 53rd for the tournament at 7-over par. Fellow sophomore Maxwell Moldovan is also 7-over through 36 holes as he carded a second round 76.
Jackson Chandler posted a 75 on Saturday and JonErik Alford came home with a 76. Patrick Schmucking rounded out the Buckeyes scorers with a 79.
The Buckeyes will tee off at 3:15 p.m. ET on Sunday off the first tee. They are paired with Liberty and Georgia Southern.
