
Buckeyes Move Up to 3rd at NCAA Regional

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State used the momentum from a good finish on Monday to jump up the leaderboard on Tuesday and is in third place with a round to play at the NCAA Columbus Regional.
The Buckeyes are 6-over par and in third place, four shots ahead of Arkansas and San Francisco who are tied for sixth at 10-over. The Top 5 teams at the end of play Wednesday will earn a spot in the NCAA Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., later this month.
Junior Jackson Chandler led the Buckeyes on Tuesday as he played extremely steady and posted a round of 2-under 69. He has made seven birdies and just two bogeys in his last 25 holes. He is tied for sixth at 1-under par.
JonErik Alford and Maxwell Moldovan each carded rounds of even-par 71 on Tuesday. Alford made three bogeys and three birdies while Moldovan had five bogeys and five birdies, including a pair in his final three holes.
Adam Wallin also closed with two birdies in his final four holes and would post a 2-over 73 on Tuesday. Patrick Schmucking posted a matching 73 as he played his final five holes in 1-under par.
The Buckeyes will be off the first tee Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. and will be paired with tournament leaders Oklahoma State and Georgia Tech. Admission is free for the final round.
