
Buckeyes, Moldovan Finish 12th at B1G Championship

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State sophomore Maxwell Moldovan carded a final 75 and finished in 12th at the Big Ten Championship at the French Lick Resort. As a team, the Buckeyes also finished in 12th place.
The wind was the story of the weekend as it blew hard all three rounds and made scoring difficult. The average score on Sunday was over 78. Moldovan shots rounds of 74-73-75 and posted his second consecutive Top 20 finish at the Big Ten Championship.
Marco Steyn had a great round on Friday with a 2-under 70 and would finish with rounds of 78-80 and was 36th at 12-over par.
Adam Wallin rebounded from an 81 in the opening round to post rounds of 77-75 over Saturday and Sunday to finish 52nd at 17-over.
JonErik Alford finished his weekend with a round of 79 and Patrick Schmucking carded a final round 82.
The Buckeyes will find out their postseason fate this Wednesday on the NCAA Regional Selection Show. The show will air at 4 p.m. ET on the Golf Channel. Ohio State is hosting one of six regionals on May 16-18.
