Day of Giving 2022 Student-Athlete Spotlight: Ari Allen – Men’s Lacrosse

Freshman Men’s Lacrosse student-athlete Ari Allen on what the Ohio State Day of Giving means to him:
I am a freshman here at The Ohio of State University, but I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia. My major is undecided right now and I am on the lacrosse team here at Ohio State.
I chose to be a Buckeye because I knew I could grow as a person and as a lacrosse player. Also, the resources here help you to be the best at whatever you want to be.
Being able to earn a scholarship here was more than a blessing to my family and me. I remind myself every day that someone is dying to be in my shoes here at The Ohio State University. Earning a scholarship has helped keep me humble and reminds me how blessed I am to be here.
It means a lot to me that so many people would support student-athlete scholarships like the one that allowed me to come to Ohio State. Coming from a single mom working every day to provide for her five children, it is just a blessing to know she doesn’t have to worry anymore because Buckeye Nation helped me attend this wonderful university. Thank you to everyone that helped make that possible.
