
Jackson Reid Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – For his performance in Ohio State’s 12-10 win over Johns Hopkins last Saturday afternoon at Ohio Stadium, Jackson Reid is this week’s Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced today.
Reid, playing primarily at midfield, scored five goals and assisted on another for a game-high six points. In the fourth quarter, Reid tied the game at 9-9 with 14:19 to play and then assisted on a Scott White tally at 12:26 that gave Ohio State the lead for good.
A fifth-year senior from Guelph, Ontario, Reid is Ohio State’s second-leading scorer this season with 43 points on 29 goals and 14 assists. He ranks in the top 10 in the conference in goals per game (fourth, 2.64) and points per game (sixth, 3.91). In the last four games, he’s totaled 19 points (4.75 points per game).
A veteran of 56 career games, Reid has 161 points on 113 goals and 48 assists. He’s already top 10 in program history in goals scored (sixth) and total points (ninth).
Ohio State (8-3, 2-1), ranked No. 8 in this week’s USILA Coaches Poll, heads to No. 1 Maryland (10-0, 3-0) on Saturday for a 4 p.m. faceoff at Maryland Stadium.
