COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 6 Ohio State men’s gymnastics team travels to No. 2 Oklahoma for a Saturday dual meet, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET. The meet will be broadcast live on Bally Sports (subscription required).
- OSU ranks in the top six in the nation as a team in four events (based on a four-score average) –fourth on floor (67.583), fourth on rings (66.617), fourth on vault (71.317) and sixth on pommel horse (65.083).
- The Buckeyes hold the second-best team score on pommel horse in the country this season, totaling 67.900 in the Feb. 12 win against No. 4 Michigan.
- Ohio State earned a 397.200-393.900 win at No. 7 Penn State last weekend, winning five of six events by five different gymnasts. The Buckeyes had team-high scores on vault (72.450) and high bar (66.900) and their second-highest team score of the season on floor (68.250).
- This season, the Buckeyes are 5-1 outside of invitational competition where they finished second of seven teams to open the season at the Windy City Invite. Ohio State’s wins include No. 4 Michigan, No. 7 Penn State, No. 10 Army, No. 12 William & Mary and New York Alliance.
- Oklahoma has a perfect 5-0 record this season when competing in a dual or tri-meet and have surpassed 400 points as a team in every meet. The only time in any format that the Sooners have been beaten this season was at the Stanford Open at the end of January by the top-ranked Stanford team.
- Last weekend, the Sooners won the tri-meet at No. 11 Springfield and against No. 13 William & Mary with a team total of 400.900.
