What They Said
Head Coach Jen Flynn Oldenburg: “It’s pretty special. To me, I feel fortunate to be in this position [coaching my alma mater]. You’re riding every day with the current team, but to see the alumni excited to come back here and celebrate together? That’s a big deal. This is the first time Stacey Gordon has been back since I was hired and we honored her with a video, she did that roll on the court and was on the tricycle. She wasn’t on the court playing but she certainly was on the screen a lot tonight. All those moments are special and that’s what I look forward to. I don’t want to look too far ahead but even with this group and a couple years, they’ll be coming back for alumni weekends and celebrating each other and celebrating being a Buckeye. It’s a big deal – the history runs deep and it’s good to see those generations just really come together.”
Outside Jenaisya Moore: “Winning in the Big Ten is huge. Winning on the road, winning at home – any win is huge. We’ve really just being taking strides one day at a time, one game at a time, one practice at a time. We look at it that way, not the whole big picture. That’s what gets us there day in and day out.”
