Buckeyes Announce 2021-22 Women’s Hockey Schedule

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State will begin its 2021-22 women’s hockey season the weekend of Sept. 24-25 when it hosts St. Thomas, the newest member of the WCHA, at the OSU Ice Rink. The WCHA announced the conference schedule on Wednesday, a slate that begins with the Buckeyes’ games in September and concludes with the WCHA Final Faceoff March 5-6.
In addition to playing 28 conference games, the Buckeyes will also take part in the D1 in DC Tournament Nov. 26-27 in Washington, DC where they will have games versus St. Lawrence (Nov. 26) and Penn State (Nov. 27). Ohio State also has a non-conference series scheduled at home against Lindenwood Jan. 7-8.
“We’re very excited and looking forward to returning to some normalcy next season,” said head coach Nadine Muzerall. “It will be nice to be able to officially welcome in St. Thomas and host them to start the season. We’re fortunate to be able to have non-conference games again and the opportunity to go on a trip to Washington, DC, which will be a great experience both from a cultural and hockey standpoint. We’re also excited about a chance to have fans back for our home games.”
In the month of October, Ohio State will host Bemidji State (Oct. 15-16) and St. Cloud State (Oct. 29-30) at home while traveling to Minnesota (Oct. 1-2) and Wisconsin (Oct. 22-23).
In addition to the D1 in DC Tournament during the month of November, Ohio State also hosts Minnesota State (Nov. 19-20) and travels to St. Thomas (Nov. 5-6).
The only action in the month of December is a series at Minnesota Duluth (Dec. 3-4). January brings three home weekend series versus Lindenwood (Jan. 7-8), Minnesota Duluth (Jan. 21-22) and Minnesota (Jan. 28-29).
In February, the Buckeyes have road series at Minnesota State (Feb. 4-5) and Bemidji State (Feb. 11-12) and the regular season finale at home against Wisconsin (Feb. 18-19).
