COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State heads to St. Simons Island, Ga., this weekend to compete in the Spartan Collegiate at Sea Island. The 7,060-yard par-72 Plantation Course will be the setting.
- Ohio State’s lineup this week will consist of Maxwell Moldovan, Felix Kvarnstrom, Adam Wallin, Elis Svard and Patrick Schmucking.
- Moldovan finished fourth in his collegiate debut last time out at the Kiawah Invitational. He shot three sub-par rounds to finish at 10-under par.
- Ohio State is one of seven Big Ten teams in the field this week.
- The Buckeyes opened the spring at the Big Ten Match Play Championship, going 2-2 with wins over Nebraska and Maryland.
- They then finished eighth at the Kiawah Invitational on Feb. 15-16.
- This week will be the first of back-to-back weeks of events as the Buckeyes will play in the prestigious Valspar Collegiate Invitational March 15-16.
