
Buckeyes Stumble Against No. 2 Wolverines

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 5 Ohio State men’s gymnastics team closed its Big Ten slate with a 408.350-397.950 loss to No. 2 Michigan in a virtual meet on Wednesday.
Action started on floor for the Buckeyes with a team score of 67.600. Jesse Tyndall led all scorers with a 14.050 while Dexter Roettker tied for third place and matched his career high on a 13.800.
Justin Ah Chow had a 13.800 to come in third on pommel horse. Andrew Brower received a score of 13.600, which tied his career best. As a team, Ohio State posted a 66.250 on the apparatus.
The Buckeyes were on rings for the third rotation and registered a 64.750. Josh Seltzer was the top scorer for Ohio State with a 13.450 as Michigan swept the podium.
The team made its way to vault, where it scored a 70.300 to win the event. Roettker earned a 14.550, a career high, to clinch the title. Sean Neighbarger had a 14.300 to place third.
Ohio State tallied a 64.500 on parallel bars. Ah Chow recorded a season high score of 13.850, which was good enough for third.
Domenic Sciulli tied his career mark on high bar with a 13.550 to come in second place. The Buckeyes had a team score of 64.550 on the event.
Ohio State concludes its regular season on Sunday at 3 p.m. in a virtual meet against No. 12 William & Mary.
