COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State will be part of the one of the best fields in collegiate golf this season at the Valspar Invitational on March 15 and 16. The 11-team field features six of the Top 10 teams in the country. Follow along with the scores both days on Golfstat.com
- Ohio State’s lineup this week will consist of Maxwell Moldovan, Felix Kvarnstrom, Adam Wallin, Elis Svard and Jackson Chandler.
- Moldovan has opened his collegiate career with a pair of Top 10 finishes as he finished fourth at the Kiawah Invitational and sixth last week at the Spartan Collegiate.
- Moldovan has yet to card an over-par round through his first six rounds and leads the team with a 69.67 scoring average.
- Felix Kvarnstrom has a couple of Top 25 finishes this season and is second on the squad in scoring at 71.50.
- The Buckeyes have finished under-par in each of their first two stroke play events and are coming off a fifth-place finish at the Spartan Collegiate last week.
- This is the first time since the fall of 2004 that the Buckeyes have finished under-par as a team in back-to-back events.
- OSU has not finished under-par in three consecutive events since the 2003-04 season.
- The weather looks ideal over the next two days with temperatures in the mid-80s and very little chance of rain.
