No. 8 Buckeyes Post Shutout at Rutgers, 7-0

The No. 8-ranked Ohio State women's tennis team did not drop a set as it defeated Rutgers, 7-0, Sunday in East Brunswick, N.J. Ohio State is now 7-2 on the year and 4-0 in Big Ten play.
Kolie Allen, Isabelle Boulais, Irina Cantos Siemers and Luna Dormet all won in singles and doubles vs. the Scarlet Knights (0-4, 0-4 B1G), while Lucia Marzal and Tanisha Kashyap contributed singles wins.
The Buckeyes return home next week for matches vs. Michigan State at 10 a.m. Friday and Michigan at noon Sunday.
In Doubles
- The Buckeyes won the doubles point for the fourth match in a row and the sixth time this season.
- The tandem of Irina Cantos Siemers and Luna Dormet topped Chloe Brown and Jaci Cochrane on court three, 6-3.
- Kolie Allen and Isabelle Boulais improved to 6-1 in dual matches, as they were 6-3 winners over Maya Jacobs and Kristiana Zahare on court one.
- The court two match was suspended with Buckeyes Lucia Marzal and Lisa Hofbauer leading Alisa Prinyarux and Tess Fisher, 4-3.
In Singles
- Cantos Siemers put the Buckeyes up 2-0 as she won 6-2, 6-0, on court one over Jacobs. The Buckeye sophomore is 9-2 overall this season, leading the team in wins, and 6-2 in dual matches.
- Boulais defeated Fisher, 6-2, 6-4, on court two for a 3-0 Buckeye lead. She is on a three-match winning streak.
- On court five, Dormet improved to 8-0 overall this season and 6-0 in dual matches, as she clinched the team win with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Cochrane.
- On court four, Marzal defeated Brown, 6-4, 6-4, and Tanisha Kashyap followed with a 6-3, 6-4 win on court six over Daira Cardenas. Marzal has a 6-1 dual match record and is 8-2 overall this year, while Kashyap is 3-1 in dual play.
- Allen closed out the shutout, as she topped Sydney Kaplan, 7-6 (4), 6-2, on court three for her fourth straight victory.
