Tee Times: Sunday and Monday – Tee times off 1 and 10 between 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Tuesday – Tee times off 1 and 10 between 8:30-10:00 a.m.
Teams: Clemson, College of Charleston, East Carolina, ETSU, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland,
Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, UNCW, Wake Forest and Wisconsin
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State will compete in its first full-field stroke play event of the season when it heads to Kiawah Island Resort in South Carolina for the Kiawah Invitational. The 54-hole event is being played at the Oak Point Golf Club on Feb. 14-16.
- Ohio State’s lineup this week will consist of Elis Svard, Patrick Schmucking, Max Moldovan Jackson Chandler, and Adam Wallin. Grant Engle and Felix Kvarnstrom will be playing as individuals
- Wake Forest and Clemson are the two ranked teams in the field according to the latest Golfweek/Bushnell Pre-Spring Coaches Poll. The Buckeyes are 39th when factoring in all the votes.
- The Buckeyes started the spring at the Big Ten Match Play Championship, going 2-2 with wins over Nebraska and Maryland.
- Sophomore Jackson Chandler led the team at the match play with a perfect 3-0 record. Freshman Adam Wallin beat Maryland’s Will Celiberti 3&1 and halved his other two matches to finish 1-0-2. Graduate student Elis Svard played the top spot in all four matches and finished with a record of 2-2.
- Freshman Max Moldovan played at the prestigious Jones Cup and had a really nice showing, finishing 11th in the 84-player field.
