Podraza Named Big Ten Co-Setter of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference released its weekly volleyball awards on Monday. Junior setter Mac Podraza was named Big Ten Co-Setter of the Week for the second time this season following her performances at (RV) Michigan and against Michigan State this past weekend.
Podraza continued to direct the offense as Ohio State earned two victories last week – a sweep at Michigan and a four-set win against Michigan State. Podraza totaled 83 assists (11.86 per set) and 22 digs (3.14 per set) through seven sets last week. She began the week with 41 assists (13.67 per set), seven digs and two blocks against Michigan. Podraza went on to record her seventh double-double of the season with 42 assists and 15 digs against Michigan State.
She’s consistently been in the top two in the country in assists per set this season as she was second on Oct. 26 (11.88 assists per set) and is also averaging 2.65 digs per set (199 total) this season.
