Buckeyes Overwhelm Indiana 54-7

No. 5 Ohio State won its fifth game in a row and in similar fashion to the previous four: with an explosive and relentless offense, and a stout defense. After the Buckeyes and Hoosiers traded touchdowns on their opening drives, Ohio State reeled off 47 unanswered points (including a 30-point second quarter) en route to its 26th straight win over Indiana.
Buckeye QB C.J. Stroud turned in another standout performance, connecting on 21-28 pass attempts for 266 yards and four touchdowns.
Fellow freshman running back TreVeyon Henderson recorded his second career three-touchdown game, scoring two on the ground and one on a screen pass. He finished the game with 95 total yards. Miyan Williams pitched in 60 yards and a touchdown on eight carries and Jaxon Smith-Njigba led all receivers with 99 yards in six grabs.
Defensively, the Buckeyes had five sacks and 13 tackles for loss in a dominating performance.
Now 6-1 and 4-0 in league play, Ohio State welcomes Penn State next Saturday for a prime time game at 7:30 p.m. in Ohio Stadium. Fans are encourage to wear scarlet.
The Buckeyes showed no rust on their first possession of the game, marching down the field 75 yards in 12 plays capped off by an 11-yard Miyan Williams scamper to go ahead 7-0. For the drive, Willams totaled 38 yards on five totes.

Indiana answered with a TD of its own on its first drive. The Hoosiers also covered 75 yards in the matter of 15 plays, ending on a 7-yard scoring toss from Jack Tuttle to Peyton Hendershot with just less than three minutes remaining in the opening frame.
Big completions from Stroud of 32 yards to Smith-Njigba and 22 to Garrett Wilson set up a 21-yard TD dart up the left sideline by Henderson. The Buckeyes covered 75 yards on five plays in 93 seconds.

The second quarter opened very much like the first. The explosive Buckeyes once again rolled through Indiana, as Henderson notched TD No. 13 on the season on a 14- yard screen pass from Stroud. Ohio State went 51 yards on six plays in 2:43.
He's a freshman, but all he does is score TDs.

An Indiana special teams error landed the Buckeyes another pair of points after Marvin Harrison, Jr. tackled IU punter Jared Smolar in the end zone following a botched snap.
Chris Olave pulled down his 30th career touchdown reception to help give the Buckeyes their 30th point. No. 2 hauled in a 16-yard toss from Stroud in the end zone. The TD pass was Stroud’s 20th on the season. The drive spanned 39 yards in five plays.

The Buckeyes benefitted once again from good field position on its next drive after a 20-yard punt return from Wilson. Henderson scored his second TD hat trick of the season accounting for all 30 yards of the drive on two carries, including a 6-yard score.
Ohio State capped the half with another Stroud TD, his third of the period. This time the signal-caller found Jeremy Ruckert from 14 yards away to finish off a 66-yard drive in eight plays.

The Buckeyes topped the 50-point mark late in the third quarter as Stroud captained another impressive drive. He connected with Ruckert again from the 2-yard line.
