
Buckeyes Face Navy in Virtual Meet

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s gymnastics team will take on Navy in a non-conference virtual dual meet on Saturday at noon inside the Covelli Center.
It will be the first virtual meet in the Buckeyes’ history. Judging and scoring will be done via the Virtius web platform. Each team will compete in their respective arenas with judges receiving a live stream of events. Fans will also be able to view the competition via virti.us.

LAST TIME OUT
The Buckeyes kicked off their 2021 season with a 402.550-396.250 loss at No. 3 Illinois last weekend. Justin Ah Chow made his way to the podium twice after taking first on floor (14.400) and third on vault (14.300). Jesse Tyndall won on high bar behind a 13.650 and was third on floor (14.150) while Sean Neighbarger came in second on vault with a 14.400. Trevor Cummings (13.800) finished second on pommel horse and Angel Leon (13.700) was third on rings.
SCOUTING NAVY
Saturday’s meet is the season opener for the Midshipmen, who were picked ninth in the 2021 CGA Preseason Coaches Poll. Ohio State and Navy met for the first time in program history a year ago when the Buckeyes secured a 408.900-397.200 win in Columbus.
