Get to Know the Freshmen: Sarah Johnson

Today, meet midfielder Sarah Johnson, who hails from Richmond, Va.

Sarah, on why she chose Ohio State …

“I chose Ohio State because when I first came to campus the love and excitement people shared for OSU athletics was unlike anywhere I had ever been. I wanted to be a part of it.”

Played for Richmond Strikers
On the honor roll all four years of high school
Played varsity field hockey throughout high school and was captain as a senior
Gold Team captain in 2019-20, winning the pep rally and team cup
Founded high school’s Spanish Club

Personal

Daughter of Connor and Elizabeth
Brother, Connor, plays golf at Virginia Tech and also has a younger brother, David
Plans to major in political science and attend law school
Enjoys reading, exercising and hanging out with friends
Started playing lacrosse because all of her friends were; overcame showing up to her first practice to find out her mother had accidentally signed her up for an all-boys team
