COLUMBUS, Ohio – Eight newcomers for the Ohio State women’s soccer team saw their first action, making an instant impact for the Buckeyes on the opening weekend of the 2019 campaign.
Midfielders Ariella Pitty and Olivia Petit, a transfer from Saint Louis University, along with defender Kitty Jones-Black and goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz each started the first two games while Kamryn Davis, Madison Alberty, Emma Sears and Aliya El-Naggar saw significant time off the bench.
Pitty etched her name in the stat sheet, assisting on Kayla Fischer’s goal in the fourth minute of the contest against Missouri Sunday afternoon while Silkowitz made 10 saves through her first two career starts.
The Buckeyes return to the pitch when they take on UCF at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Orlando, Fla.
