2019 USA National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships
Colorado Springs, CO- This past weekend, three Buckeyes traveled out west to compete in this year’s USA National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships. The three Buckeyes competed over a two-day span to get their total score and placement.
Samuel Gens competed in Men’s Air Pistol, shooting a score of 559 on Day 1, a score of 566 on Day 2 with a Finals Score of 131.0 and an overall score of 1,127 to place Second.
Cade Haiby also competed in Men’s Air Pistol, shooting a score of 539 on Day 1, a score of 533 on Day 2, and an overall score of 1,072 to place Eleventh.
Emily Nothnagle competed in Women’s Sport Pistol, shooting a score of 499 on Day 1 and a score of 504 on Day 2 and an overall score of 1,033 to place Fourteenth. Nothnagle also competed in Women’s Air Pistol, shooting a score of 508 on Day 1, a score of 516 on Day 2, and an overall score of 1,024 to place Twenty-Seventh.
Additionally, with his 2nd place finish, Samuel Gens earned himself a spot to compete in Men’s Air Pistol at the 2019 ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany, July 12th-20th.
