
Brown Paces Ohio State’s Effort at Big Ten Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s cross country program placed 11th in the 2019 Big Ten cross country championships, hosted on Sunday morning at the OSU Golf Course in Upper Arlington. It was the first time that the Ohio State cross country programs hosted the conference championship meet since 2007.
Wisconsin won the team title with 56 points, edging out Indiana (70 points) and Michigan (78 points). Purdue (82 points) and Penn State (169 points) rounded out the top five.
Leading the Buckeyes was fifth-year senior Tevin Brown. Brown raced to the finish line with a personal record time of 25:01.1 to take 49th place overall. Senior Luke Landis came through the threshold to take 65th (25:18.9). Rounding out the scoring efforts for the Buckeyes were freshman Gio Copploe, who also had a personal record of 25:24.9, junior Peter Hayden and sophomore Mikey Zedan.
