
Ohio State Hosts 2019 Big Ten Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State cross country program will host the 2019 Big Ten Championships on Sunday, Nov. 3 at the Ohio State Golf Club in Upper Arlington. This is the first time the Buckeyes have hosted a conference meet in over a decade.
The men are scheduled to step to the line at 10:45 a.m. ET and run an 8000m course. The women start at 11:45 a.m. ET for a 6000m race. The Ohio State women’s squad will enter the Big Ten championships ranked No. 21 in the nation according the latest Coaches’ Poll.

The Buckeyes As Of Late
The women’s squad comes into the championships with momentum after four runners – Abby Nichols, Lainey Studebaker, Julia Rizk and Allie Guagenti – posted their season-best times at the Nuttycombe Invite in Madison, Wisc. on Oct. 18. The men’s team saw two runners – Luke Landis and Tevin Brown – run season-bests at the Nuttycombe Invite.
Parking Information
Spectator parking will be provided Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute 2835 Fred Taylor Dr. Columbus, OH 43202 and will cost $5 per car.
Buckeye Lot 4 (B4) shuttles will run every 15 minutes from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. from the (B4) parking lot to the Ohio State University Golf Club.
Big Ten Championships History
The men’s team is looking to improve upon back-to-back 11th place finishes at the Big Ten Championships but as recently as three years ago finished in eighth place. On the women’s side, the Buckeyes’ top finish in the last three years was a fifth-place showing in 2016.
Course Information
The course starts and finishes near the driving range. It heads out 1000m before connecting with a 2000m loop that the women will run two times and the men three times.
Alumni Information
The Ohio State cross country programs, along with Varsity O, will host an alumni gathering at the golf course club house from 9 to 10 a.m. All former Buckeyes are invited to attend. RSVP to Nick Graves at graves.237@osu.edu.

Women: No. 7 Wisconsin, No. 8 Michigan, No. 9 Michigan St., No.18 Penn State, No. 19 Illinois, No. 23 Indiana and No. 25 Minnesota. The Buckeyes are ranked at No. 21.
Men: No. 9 Purdue, No. 13 Indiana, No. 14 Wisconsin, and No. 17 Michigan.
