HISTORY WITH THE FIGHTING ILLINI
Illinois holds a 44-38 lead in the all-time series heading into Saturday. The Buckeyes have dropped their last four meetings with the Fighting Illini, including a 3-1 decision a season ago. Vanja Bukilic secured the first double-double of her career on 14 kills and 10 digs with two solo blocks while Hannah Gruensfelder dug 17 balls.

Illinois (9-9, 4-5 B1G) is coming off a five-set heartbreaker to No. 8 Penn State Wednesday night. The Fighting Illini have lost their last three matches, all to opponents ranked in the Top 10. As a team, Illinois averages 13.51 kills per set to stand third in the Big Ten and 37th in the nation. Individually, Jacqueline Quade leads the conference and is 28th nationally with 4.28 kills per set. Her 321 total kills and 4.87 points per set rank 19th and 26th, respectively, in the country.
LAST TIME OUT
Ohio State (11-10, 4-5 B1G) completed the sweep of its home-and-home series against Rutgers with a 3-1 victory Wednesday night inside the Covelli Center, the 10th straight win over the Scarlet Knights. Jenaisya Moore paced the offense with 15 kills, her fifth consecutive match in double figures. Elle Sandbothe added 11 kills, four blocks and three digs to the mix. Gabby Gonzales chipped in nine digs and seven kills. Becca Mauer recorded 27 assists, four digs, two kills, two service aces and one rejection. Kylie Murr had a match-high 15 digs while Lauren Witte notched three aces, three digs and two blocks.

Ohio State averages 13.45 kills per set to sit at No. 44 in the national rankings, paced by Jenaisya Moore at 3.67 kills per set. Kylie Murr leads the Big Ten and is 31st in the country behind 4.96 digs per set. Becca Mauer has taken over setting duties and averages 8.23 assists per set.
