Welcome to the first bye week of the 2019-2020 football season! This week, we take a look back on the start of the first half of the regular season and review some of the best moments thus far. From fans, to milestones, to Ryan Day’s coaching debut, enjoy the BEST of bye week!

Week 1
Florida Atlantic: 21, Ohio State: 45
Ohio State led the entire game en route to a 45-21 win over FAU. After a quick 28-0 start, the Buckeyes never looked back and set themselves up for the rest of this exciting season.
The season opener marked the long awaited debut of quarterback Justin Fields, and the freshman didn’t disappoint. Moments into his first drive, Fields broke loose for a 51-yard touchdown run that ignited the home fans. From there, Fields added four touchdowns through the air and showed why he was worth the wait.

Week 2
Cincinnati: 0, Ohio State: 42

The Bearcats came to town and they brought the storylines. We brought the fire. With former Buckeye Luke Fickell back in Columbus, Ohio State put on a show. The Buckeyes rushed for four touchdowns in a balanced offensive attack to defeat Cincinnati 42-0.
Stars of The Shoe
The game vs. the Bearcats was also the annual hall of fame game. Inductees include A.J. Hawk (football), Mike Nugent (football), Boyd Cherry (football), Justin Fry (baseball), Jim Foster (women’s basketball coach), Stan Lyons (men’s track and field), Thad Matta (men’s basketball coach), Andrew Pierce (men’s track and field), Natalie Spooner (women’s ice hockey) and RJ Umberger (men’s ice hockey).
D’Angelo Russell & Evan Turner even paid the Buckeyes a visit…
Week 3
Ohio State: 51, Indiana: 10
You know what they say, EVERY GAME IS A HOME GAME for Buckeye Nation! Ohio State hit the road for its first B1G game of the season and Bloomington was the destination. Memorial Stadium was packed with scarlet & gray faithful while Ohio State put on a midday show!
Whole Squad
QB1 Justin Fields threw three touchdown passes, Chris Olave had a touchdown and a blocked punt that resulted in a safety AND J.K. Dobbins had 207 total yards with two total touchdowns. WHAT. A. GAME.
