Ohio State was dominant its first Big Ten test of the season defeating Indiana 51-10 on the road Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

The Buckeyes (3-0) chalked up 314 rushing yards while throwing for 214 more to total 528 yards of offense in the Big Ten win over the Hoosiers (2-1).

JK Dobbins rushed for 193 yards on 22 carries with two total touchdowns. Dobbins racked up 175 yards in the first half, which was sixth most in one half by a Buckeye in school history. He finished with 207 total yards. Master Teague also had a big day following Dobbins with 106 rushing yards on 10 carries and a touchdown. Justin Fields threw for three touchdowns and ran for another TD.

Chris Olave had three receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown. He also had a blocked punt in the first half that led to a safety score. Binjimen Victor had 66 yards on four receptions and K.J. Hill also caught a touchdown.

The Buckeye defense was the story of the game, racking up an impressive 12 tackles for loss led by Chase Young with 2.5 TFL and two sacks. Damon Arnette capped off the afternoon with a 93-yard pick six in the second half.

Ohio State jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to a three-yard Justin Fields touchdown run, the 10th TD that he’s accounted for in the first nine quarters of the season. The scoring drive covered nine plays and 68 yards, keyed by a 18-yard reception by Chris Olave. Indiana got in the scoreboard on its ensuing drive with 3:45 remaining in the quarter thanks to a 29-yard Logan Justus field goal.

For the quarter, Ohio State had 153 yards – 66 passing by Fields and 50 rushing from Dobbins, who also caught a pass for 10 yards.

The Buckeyes increased their lead over Indiana to 30-10 at halftime as Justin Fields hit Chris Olave and K.J. Hill with touchdown tosses in the second quarter and J.K. Dobbins bulled into the end zone from 26-yards out. The Hoosiers scored on a trick play with 1:07 to go in the half.

Olave’s TD reception went for 37 yards to give the Buckeyes a 14-3 lead. Hill’s went for nine yards and was set up after an IU free kick when Olave blocked a punt that rolled into the end zone for a safety and a 16-3 lead. Dobbins had the big gain on that touchdown drive, running 56 yards to set the Buckeyes up at the IU 24.

Olave has now recorded a blocked punt and caught a touchdown pass in two consecutive Big Ten games. He did so last year in the 62-39 victory over Michigan to close the season.

Dobbins has topped over 100 yards rushing in a half for the second consecutive game with 175 yards.

Fields to Olave 37-yard touchdown pass

J.K. Dobbins 26-yard touchdown run

Ohio State quickly extended its 30-10 halftime lead with a efficient seven-play, 75-yard drive to open the third quarter that was punctuated when Dobbins caught a four-yard pass from Fields. Blake Haubeil’s extra point gave Ohio State a 37-10 lead.

Master Teague punctuated a nine-play, 97-yard drive (a season high for yardage) with a 40-yard touchdown run at the 4:58 mark of the third quarter to make the score 44-10. Teague rushed five times for 78 yards on the drive. The 40-yard TD rush was the longest of his career.
