Men’s Basketball (9-1, 2-0 Big Ten) | Bucknell Recap
- The men’s basketball team tallied its third straight win with a 73-71 victory over Bucknell on Saturday.
- Kaleb Wesson led all scorers with 22 points. He also pulled down 10 rebounds to notch the second double-double of his career.
- Keyshawn Woods added 13, including nine points in the second half.
- J. Jackson had an impressive showing as well, scoring 10 points while notching eight rebound and six assists.
Women’s Basketball (4-3) | Florida Recap
- The women’s basketball team held Florida scoreless for the 5:10 as it secured a 46-41 win on Sunday.
- Makayla Waterman tied her season high with 11 points and notched seven rebounds and a career-high three blocks in the win.
Women’s Ice Hockey (14-6, 8-4 WCHA) | Mercyhurst Gm 1 | Mercyhurst Gm 2
- The women’s hockey team wrapped up the first half of its season with a sweep of Mercyhurst over the weekend.
- Saturday’s series opener saw the Buckeyes take control with a goal from Rebecca Freiburger in the second period before the Lakers tied it at 1-1 in the third, forcing overtime. In the extra period Emma Maltais finished off a furious attack to score the game winner in OT.
- Sunday’s finale was a totally different story with the Buckeyes rattling off nine goals to win, 9-2.
- Charly Dahlquist tallied a hat trick, scoring all three goals in the span of 3:33. Liz Schepers scored two goals of her own, while Tatum Skaggs, Jacyn Reeves, Emma Maltais and Paetyn Levis all scored goals of their own.
Women’s Gymnastics | Scarlet and Gray Meet
- The women’s gymnastics team wowed fans at the Scarlet and Gray intrasquad meet on Saturday.
- The Buckeyes were judged by wrestling head coach Tom Ryan, field hockey head coach Jarred Martin, sports nutritionist Nicole Jontony and strength and conditioning coach Kevin Enchelmeyer.
