Football (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) | Michigan State Recap | Maryland Preview
- The Buckeyes capitalized on several Michigan State miscues to pull away in the second half en route to a 26-6 win.
- Dwayne Haskins completed 20 or more passes for the ninth time in 10 game this season and moved into second place on the single-season passing list (3,280 yards).
- Mike Weber ran for 104 yards on the afternoon and Ohio State is 8-0 in his career when he eclipses the century mark.
Men’s Basketball (2-0) | Cincinnati Recap | Purdue Fort Wayne Recap
- The men’s basketball team withstood a late run to take a 64-56 win over Cincinnati in its 2018-19 season opener Wednesday night
- Four different Buckeyes tallied double-digit points, led by Kaleb Wesson’s 15. C.J. Jackson scored 13, while Luther Muhammad notched 11 and Kyle Young finished with 10.
- The Buckeyes kept it rolling on Sunday with a 107-61 win over Purdue Fort Wayne.
- Once again four different players put up double-digit points, led by C.J. Jackson’s career-high 25. Duane Washington Jr. exploded for 20 off the bench, while Jaedon Ledee put up 16 points and Luther Muhammad scored 12.
Women’s Basketball (1-2) | Detroit Mercy Recap
- The women’s basketball team collected its first win of the season on Friday as it knocked-off Detroit Mercy 55-41.
- Dorka Juhász recorded her second double-double in as many games with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Fellow freshman Aaliyah Patty scored a game-high 16 points to go along with three blocks and four rebounds.
Men’s Ice Hockey (6-3-1, 1-1 Big Ten) | Colgate Game 1 | Colgate Game 2
- The men’s hockey team did not allow a goal in its series with Colgate, winning game one 3-0, and game two 1-0 this weekend.
- Sean Romeo made 19 saves in Friday’s game as Tanner Laczynski scored twice and Ronnie Hein lit the lamp in the win.
- Dakota Joshua scored the lone goal in Saturday’s game while Tommy Nappier stopped all 24 shots he faced to secure the sweep.
Wrestling (1-0) | Ohio Intercollegiate Open Recap
- Nineteen Buckeye wrestlers entered the Ohio Intercollegiate Open’s Gold (top) Division. Nine walked away as champions after 13 reached the finals, setting up an Ohio State vs. Ohio State championship bout in four of 10 weight classes.
Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving | ACC/Big Ten Challenge Recap
- Ohio State swimmers finished with their best times of the season, and Buckeye diving showed continued consistency as OSU helped both the men’s and women’s Big Ten teams defeat their ACC challengers.
