Haskins, Jones Named Semifinalists by Maxwell Football Club

The Maxwell Football Club announced today that a pair of Buckeyes – sophomore QB Dwayne Haskins and junior DT Dre’Mont Jones – are semifinalists for the Maxwell and Bednarik Awards, respectively.
The Maxwell Award honors college football’s player of the year while the Bednarik Award goes to the nation’s most outstanding defensive player. Haskins and Jones are one of 20 semifinalists on each list.

Back in Black in The Shoe vs. Nebraska – Game Notes
Two of the most historically successful programs in college football history tangle on Saturday when the No. 8 Buckeyes welcome Nebraska to Ohio Stadium for a noon kickoff.
The Buckeyes were off last week and enter Saturday’s game with a 7-1 record. Ohio State has been headlined all season by the play of an offense that is second in the country averaging 555 yards per game.
