Two of the most historically successful programs in college football history tangle on Saturday when the No. 8 Buckeyes welcome Nebraska to Ohio Stadium for a noon kickoff.
The Buckeyes were off last week and enter Saturday’s game with a 7-1 record. Ohio State has been headlined all season by the play of an offense that is second in the country averaging 555 yards per game.
The Buckeyes suffered their first setback of the season in their last outing at Purdue. Ohio State is 5-0 under Urban Meyer following a regular season loss. Only ?ve times in 17 years and 213 games has a Meyer-led team lost consecutive games.

HASKINS: THREE CONSECUTIVE 400-YARD PASSING GAMES
Haskins continues to put together a season full of ? rsts: two weeks ago at Purdue, he became the ? rst QB in school history to have three straight 400-yard passing outings. In the process, he also set the school record for completions (49), attempts (73) and yards (470). All three of those records had stood for 37 years.
BIG PLAY BUCKEYES
Ohio State ranks No. 3 nationally in scrimmage plays over 10 yards and No. 13 with 25 plays of 30 yards or more. Of the 30 touchdown passes thrown by Haskins, 14 have covered 30 yards or more. 19 of the Buckeyes’ 54 scoring drives (35 percent) have come in six plays or less.
LOOKING TO START ANOTHER STREAK
While the loss two weeks ago to Purdue snapped a 12-game winning streak, it marked the third double-digit streak of its kind since Meyer arrived in 2012. Meyer is also the only coach in major college football to have four diff erent winning streak of at least 20 games. Meyer-led Buckeye teams have recorded 24-game (2012-13) and 23-game (2014-15) runs.

Since Nebraska joined the Big Ten for the 2011 season, the Buckeyes and Cornhuskers have met four times. Ohio State owns wins in three of those contests. Overall, the Buckeyes lead the all-time series 5-1 (Ohio State also won games in 1955 and 1956).
