The Ohio State senior, competing in his 47th and final collegiate tournament, outplayed 50 golfers ranked inside the Golfstat Top-100, including 16 Top-15 foes, to earn his share of 30th place in the 156-player national championship event.

Kelly wrapped up the weekend by carding a 3-over 73 in Sunday’s final round and came in at 4-over for the event (71-70-73). He birdied the 16th green to counteract four bogies earlier in the day. The nine lowest individuals from non-advancing teams moved on to the fourth round of stroke play, setting a cut line of 3-over.
Kelly represents the only Buckeye to play in all 13 events during the 2015-16 season. In 38 rounds, he posted a team-best 73.16 season stroke average. The recently-minted PING All-Midwest Region honoree (awarded by the Golf Coaches Association of America) registered 19 rounds at or under par and dipped into the 60s five times during his senior campaign.
