Buckeye Signees Enjoy Success at J.O. Nationals – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three members of Ohio State’s incoming freshman class competed at the 2016 J.O. National Championships in Battle Creek, Mich., May 5-8.
November signee Andrew Brower was the national champion on pommel horse in the 17-year-old Elite Division with a two-day score of 23.300. Brower, from Old Bridge, N.J., also finished fifth overall in the all-around (135.700) and fourth on rings (23.600).
Coleson Stodghill, who signed with the Buckeyes during the April recruiting period, was runner-up in the all-around in the 17-year-old Olympic division with a two-day score of 165.150. A native of Evergreen, Colo., Stodghill placed in the Top 10 on three events, highlighted by a runner-up performance on high bar.
Bobby Costea, a commit from Charlotte, N.C., tied for 17th overall in the all-around in the 17-year-old Olympic division with a two-day score of 157.900. Costea’s top event finish was on pommel horse, where he tied for fifth with a score of 27.250.
