COLUMBUS, Ohio — Three members of the 2014-15 Ohio State men’s golf team earned Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar recognition this week. Logan Jones, Boo Timko and Grant Weaver became the first Buckeye trio to do so in the same season since 2011, and just the third in school history.
Timko is the eighth Buckeye all-time to receive the award following both his junior and senior campaigns.
To be eligible for All-America Scholar status an individual must meet all of the following criteria:
-A junior or senior academically
-Compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level
-Participate in 50 percent of his team’s competitive rounds
-Post a stroke-average under 76.0
-Maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.2
-High moral character and be in good standing at his college or university
