Nine Buckeyes Named All-America Scholar Athletes – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nine members of the Ohio State men’s gymnastics team were named All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2015 season by the College Gymnastics Association.
Emeric Quade and Evan Eigner were two of 65 individuals nationally to earn First Team Academic All-America honors. Quade, a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten selection, was a first-team honoree for the second year in a row, while Eigner earned first-team recognition in his first season with the Buckeyes.
Ohio State also had seven individuals honored as Second Team All-America Scholar-Athletes: Jake Martin, Meyer Williams, Alex Nork, Danny Steiner, Cody Teaney, Evan Bluemel and Donald Yeager.
As a team, the Buckeyes finished among the Top 10 teams nationally with a cumulative grade point average of 3.028. William and Mary repeated as the national academic championship with a 3.458 team GPA.
