COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State Men’s Golf tees it up Monday (April 6) morning at the Gary Koch Invitational for the first 36 holes of the 54-hole event. Tee times start at 8 a.m. ET on both days of competition. The University of Kentucky and Auburn University are co-hosting the tournament for the 10th time since 2001.

Defeats have been few and far between for Ohio State during the 2014-15 season. The Buckeyes own an overall head-to-head record (stroke and match play) of 60-28.
JANE AND WALT DENNIS GOLF PERFORMANCE CENTER RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS AWARD
The Jane and Walt Dennis Golf Performance Center, home of the Ohio State University men’s and women’s golf programs, has been named a Design Excellence Recognition Program Award recipient by the American Society of Golf Course Architects.
The Dennis Golf Performance Center was recognized “for combining the practicality of artificial turf with creative golf course design techniques to produce a unique indoor golf practice center.”
UPPERCLASSMEN STEADY PRESENCE
Boo Timko and Grant Weaver have competed in all 21 rounds this season and have combined to contribute 35.5 of a possible 42 scores to the team tally. The Timko-Weaver duo has combined for four top-10 and eight top-25 results this season. Timko has 23 top-25 showings and 10 top-10 performances in his career while Weaver has tallied 14 and 6 of his own.
ENGLE EMERGES
Sophomore Clark Engle climbed into the Golfweek Top-100 this fall, ascending to No. 73 by semester’s end. He made the biggest individual jump of all Division-I players in Golfweek’s rankings during the fall season after pacing Ohio State with a 71.5 strokes average in 12 rounds played. He tallied seven scores under par, including four rounds dipped down into the 60s. Engle saved the best for last, going out with his first career medalist honors. He earned Big Ten Golfer of the Week laurels following the Intercollegiate at The Grove individual title.
