Grant Weaver, a redshirt junior on the Ohio State University Men’s Golf team, holds a 74.84 stroke average over his career at Ohio State and was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year during his first year with the Buckeyes.
Student Life
- Do you prefer Oval Beach in the Fall or Spring (or maybe the Winter)? Spring. Nice to see it green again after a long winter.
Where is the best place to sit for lectures? Near a window if there is one.
Most underrated place to study on campus? Top floor of Thompson
Describe your first day as a student at The Ohio State University: I don’t remember much other than I had to call one of my teammates at the last minute because I couldn’t find my first class.

Favorite athletic memory: Having a four point play with under 10 seconds to go in a 6th grade basketball game to tie the game, then our team winning in double overtime.

- Most interesting place I’ve visited: New York City

- Favorite home cooked meal: My mom makes great lasagna
Favorite snack food: ice cream and Reese’s

- Person I most admire: My parents for the example they set for my siblings and I, and for how much time and effort they invested to give me the opportunity to play golf competitively across the country growing up.
In 10 years, I would like to: play on the PGA tour
If I had a million dollars, I would: Travel a lot and help people living in poverty
Coolest thing you did this past summer: Went to New York City with my family
Most prized possession: My guitar
I would like to trade places for a day with: Usain Bolt to be the fastest person on earth
Best piece of advice you’ve received: dance with the girl you brought -Coach Darr
If you could have dinner with any 3 people (alive or dead), who would they be and what/where would you eat? I would have dinner with Jesus, Martin Luther King Jr., and CS Lewis, and I would eat Chicago deep dish pizza at Augusta National. I feel like I would be smarter after that meal.
