Student Life
Do you prefer Oval Beach in the Fall or Spring (or maybe the Winter)? – Oval Beach in the Spring is the best because the weather is great for getting some rays but it’s not hot enough yet to make you sweat.
Where is the best place to sit for lectures? – The front third of the room is the best place to pay attention, but I will sit in the back of classrooms that are smaller so I don’t block anyone’s view of the board.
Most underrated place to study on campus – The second floor tables at the Union, especially when you get someone that knows how to play the piano there with you.
If you were the University President for a day, what would you do? – Well a day wouldn’t really do much for me so I would probably just take advantage of some daily perks and maybe ride around campus on a golf cart, he can do that can’t he?
Describe your first day as a student at The Ohio State University? – My first class was at Gateway in a movie theater, and when one of my teammates dropped me off after practice that morning I was too afraid to ask where the theater was and I ended up late to my first ever college course.
Popular Culture
Favorite TV show – Family Guy
Favorite movie – The Departed
Favorite book and/or magazine – The Athlete Gene
Favorite celebrity – I listen to Joe Rogan’s podcast nearly every day.
Favorite singer or musical group – Led Zeppelin is my favorite of the old and Modest Mouse is my favorite of the new.

Sports
Favorite athlete – Don’t have a favorite athlete.
The athlete I would most like to compete against – Wilfredo Leon, just to say I got to play against him.
Favorite athletic memory – Winning my first ever college game in front of my friends and family only 30 minutes from my hometown.
Team you’re most looking forward to competing against – The defending national champions: Loyola of Chicago.
Pre-game/match superstition/Pre-game/match ritual – I like to nap from 2-3:30pm before a 7pm game and then get a small cup of coffee on my way to the gym.
What is your top skill? What skill do you need to improve? – My top skill is probably my attacking. I can improve on blocking this season, usually it’s my strong suit but it hasn’t come together yet.

Coolest thing you did this past summer – I drove across the United States in 1993 Nissan pick-up truck without A/C with my best friend.
Most prized possession – My brain, life doesn’t exist without it.
I would like to trade places for a day with – A small person because we both don’t know what it’s like to be the other one.
Best piece of advice you’ve received – “Think about it from their perspective.” More or less what I remember my mom telling me when I was young.
If you could have dinner with any 3 people (alive or dead), who would they be and what/where would you eat – I would take Joe Rogan, Ari Shaffir, and Duncan Trussel to Thurman’s and just let them have a conversation together, dinner and a show!
