COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State dropped an 82-74 decision to Louisiana Tech Tuesday night at Value City Arena.
The Bulldogs (4-0) held a 42-32 lead at the half before the Buckeyes (2-2) knotted the score at 55-55 at the 11:26 mark of the second half. However, Louisiana Tech went on a 10-2 run to take a 65-57 lead with 8:54 left and Ohio State couldn’t get closer than four the remainder of the way as the Bulldogs stayed perfect on the year.
Alex Hamilton paced Louisiana Tech with 24 points while Erik McCree added 17 points and 10 boards. Marc Loving posted a career-high 25 points while Jae’Sean Tate earned his first-career double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Buckeyes.
Ohio State takes on Memphis in the Basketball Hall of Fame Invitational at 7:30 p.m. Friday at American Airlines Arena in Miami.
