Ohio State Runs at Roy Griak Invitational Saturday – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s cross country team returns to action this Saturday, Sept. 27, at the 29th Roy Griak Invitational in Falcon Heights, Minn.
Almost 400 competitors and 30 Division I programs are expected to compete at Les Bolstad Golf Course Saturday. Ohio State will bring seven athletes to Minnesota, led by junior Blake Taneff and freshmen Nick Elswick and Clayton Bowie.
The Buckeyes are set to run in the Merrill Fischbein gold (Division I) competition at 1:20 p.m. ET. A complete recap will be available following the race.

Buckeyes Ranked Sixth in Great Lakes Regional Rankings
OSU ranked sixth in the Great Lakes regional rankings for the week of Sept. 22 by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Seventh-ranked Indiana is the top-ranked team in the region, followed by No. 11 Wisconsin, No. 20 Michigan, No. 36 Butler, Michigan State and the Buckeyes.

Ohio State ran at the Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington, Ky., Sept. 13.
The men of the Scarlet and Gray closed the meet with a team score of 92, finishing third overall. No. 20 Eastern Kentucky ran its ‘A’ team to a first-place score of 45, while No. 4 Oklahoma State featured several top runners on its way to a runner-up score of 48. Nick Elswick was the top finisher for OSU with a ninth-place time of 24:30.40 in the first 8k race of his career.
