COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ally Tarr, a senior forward on the Ohio State women’s hockey team, has been named WCHA Co-Offensive Player of the Week along with Wisconsin’s Blayre Turnbull, the league office announced Wednesday.
Tarr tallied her second-consecutive three-point series this past weekend against No. 7 North Dakota at the OSU Ice Rink. She recorded an assist on the game-winning goal Friday night and scored the game-tying goal in the first period of Saturday’s victory. She also added another assist in the third period.
The London, Ontario native has a team-leading 30 points this season on 10 goals and 20 assists. 18 of her 30 points have come in the second-half of the season.
Tarr has been climbing in the Ohio State record books as of late and now sits in eighth place on the program’s all-time scoring list with 103 career points. Her 47 career goals place her in a tie for sixth on the OSU all-time goal-scoring list.
Ohio State (14-15-5, 9-14-5 WCHA) travels to Duluth, Minn., Feb 28-March 2, for a best-of-three First Round WCHA Playoff matchup with the Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth.
