Ohio State Fifth with One Round Remaining at Big Ten Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

FRENCH LICK, Ind. – With one round remaining at the 2013 Big Ten Championships, the Ohio State men’s golf team stands in fifth after 54 holes of play with a 30-over 894. The Buckeyes carded an 8-over 296 in the third round on the par 72, 7,152-yard Pete Dye Course at the French Lick Resort.
Illinois continues to lead the field of 12 teams with a 6-over 870, while Illini Thomas Pieters has a seven-stroke lead and sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 6-under 210.
Sophomore Boo Timko remains in the Top 10 following his round of 4-over 76, holding on to eighth with a 4-over 220. A pair of Buckeyes ranks in the Top 20 in freshman Michael Bernard and sophomore Grant Weaver. Bernard is tied for 13th with a 6-over 222 after rounds of 76-73-73, while Weaver is tied for 16th at 7-over 223 (78-73-72). Each totaled two birdies on the day to lead the squad.
Rounding out the Ohio State lineup are freshmen Tee-k Kelly and Max Rosenthal. Kelly is tied for 47th with a 232 and Rosenthal is tied for 52nd with a 234.
The fourth and final round concludes Sunday with 8 a.m. ET tee times.
