Ohio State Set For Annual Intrasquad – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 4 Ohio State men’s gymnastics team opens the season with the first of two preseason meets at 2 p.m. Monday in the annual Scarlet & Gray Intrasquad held at the Steelwood Athletic Training Facility.
The Buckeyes, who enter the 2014 season ranked No. 2 in the Big Ten Preseason Coaches’ Poll and No. 4 in the CGA Preseason Coaches’ Poll, will be divided into two squads selected by redshirt senior co-captain Michael Newburger and junior co-captain Drew Moling. Four to five gymnasts will compete on all six Olympic events in front of judges and fans to simulate the environment at regular season competitions.
Following the Scarlet & Gray Intrasquad, the Buckeyes have three weeks off from competition before returning to the gym for the Alumni Exhibition at the Steelwood Athletic Training Facility at 2 p.m. Jan 11.
Monday’s meet is open to the public and admission is free.
