Ohio State Remains in 12th at NCAA Ann Arbor Regional – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team remains in 12th place after two rounds of play at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional tournament. The Buckeyes are currently at 34-over 604, after carding a 13-over 297 in the second round at the par-71, 6,723-yard University of Michigan Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Senior Dan Charen bounced back with a 1-over 72 second round performance; four strokes better than his first round score of 5-over 76. Charen’s two round total of 6-over 148 has him tied for 43rd heading into the final round of play.
Freshman Boo Timko also improved in the second round, firing a 3-over 74 for a two-day total of 150 to tie for 51st. Alex Redfield, a senior from Columbus, Ohio, is in 55th-place, recording a 5-over 76 on day two. Overall, Redfield is 9-over 151 for the tournament.
Redshirt freshman Logan Jones is tied for 63rd with a total of 11-over 153. The Dublin, Ohio, native shot a 4-over 75, three strokes lower than his day one total of 7-over 78. Also competing for the Buckeyes, freshman Grant Weaver posted a 7-over 78 for a 15-over 157 tournament total.
Southern California jumped into first-place in the team competition with a 7-under 561 total. Texas Christian’s Julien Brun and North Carolina State’s Albin Choi are tied on top the individual leader board, each recording a 7-under 135.
The final round will begin tomorrow with tee times determined by score beginning at 7:50 a.m. The five lowest scoring teams will advance to the NCAA Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
